Personal Care Assistant – Student Support (EHCP)
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £12.37 per hour (pro rata to £24,123 per annum, FTE)
Contract: Variable hours (based on student timetables)

We are currently looking to appoint a reliable and caring Personal Care Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a student with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) during the College day. The position will commence at the start of the new academic year in September 2024.
This role plays a vital part in creating a supportive and inclusive environment that helps students to thrive both personally and academically.

Main Duties:

• Support the student with movement around the College site to ensure full access to learning.
• Deliver personal care in a respectful and dignified manner, as and when required.
• Encourage engagement in social and physical activities, helping to build confidence and independence.

What We’re Looking For:

• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths, or equivalent to GCSE Grade 4 (C).
• Previous experience in a personal care or similar support role.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with a calm and empathetic approach.
• A positive role model who can inspire and encourage young people.
