Job Title: Temporary Health and Social Care Lecturer
Location: East Anglia
Salary: Flexible hourly rates (PAYE)

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Health and Social Care Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching on a temporary basis. This role involves supporting learners across a range of levels—typically from Level 1 to Level 5—within a college or training provider setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Health and Social Care
  • Teach across a variety of levels (e.g. BTEC, CACHE, NCFE, T-Levels) depending on experience and centre requirements
  • Assess learner progress through assignments, observations, and other methods
  • Provide support, feedback, and guidance to learners to help them achieve their qualifications
  • Ensure lessons meet awarding body and internal quality standards
  • Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments
  • Contribute to curriculum development and ongoing improvement
  • Maintain professional knowledge and keep up to date with industry developments

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training)
  • Relevant Health and Social Care qualification at Level 3 or above
  • Previous experience teaching in a further education or training setting
  • Strong knowledge of the health and social care sector, including current legislation and best practices
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
